BALD AND SPECTACLES

Bald and Spectacles, Born in a musical family in 1981. This Dutch born producer started recording music on tapes at the age of 4 dreaming about being a radio DJ. Started playing the keyboard at the age of 8 and creating electronic music at 12 years old, back in the days when people that did not use Atari were switching from Amiga trackers to MS-DOS trackers. Some of them were able to control MIDI devices so here the journey of buying all kinds of external equipment began.

When Cubase came available on Windows he switched to this great DAW and never left it. In the 90’s he also started DJing in the days when the analog sound of vinyl was the only thing you could think of as a DJ, no beat detection and no syncing.

It’s no secret that the sound of Bald and Spectacles resembles the sound of the 90’s and 2000’s, but also sounds refreshing. One of the things that he finds important is the goal of making music sound timeless.

Bald and Spectacles always had a great passion for music in various forms ranging from house, techno, hardcore, hardstyle, trance, retro wave, about every electronic music genre to classical music. Passionate about everything concerning writing electronic music.
